Revenge of Seven - Book Review

Revenge of Seven is another SF/fantasy book in the very long (by now) I am Number Four series. These each consist of small volumes with novels and smaller volumes with short stories. The story consists of a group of alien superheroes fighting evil aliens who apparently are resource hungry and don't recycle (there seems to be a hidden message here :-) ). In this installment, there are the usual battles, but at last the real endgame with Lorien is revealed (although the very end is probably guessable by anyone from the middle of the book). Of course following this, the book ends. Argh. Still good if you are following the series.

I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Search For Sam - Book Review

I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Search For Sam - by Pittacus Lore is the latest novel in the I am Number Four series. It continues the story of Adamus, the Mogadorian who got the memories of a Loric - One - and has gone rogue. In this very, very short book (144 pages is the quoted number, but seems like much less ), he manages to get powers, and meet with someone of the Loric team that was on captivity (in a mild stretch of coincidences on the story), and finally goes to rescue Sam.  The ending and story are OK, but as usual this suffers from the tiny serial e-book format. I think it probably has a much better profit margin than trying to sell bigger books, not to mention benefiting from the limited attention span of their target demographic.

I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: Nine's Legacy - Book Review

I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: Nine's Legacy - by Pittacus Lore - is the latest book in the Lorien Legacies. Like all others in The Lost Files sub-series, this one is pretty short - I believe it took me something like an hour or so to read it. This book takes us on the events just before Nine's appearance on a Mog cell on the end of Power of Six . It also has a tiny scene with Nine and Four that takes place after Power of Six, and thus moves the story along (the whole scene could be summed up in one sentence, however). Compared to Six's Legacy , Nine's Legacy at least is pretty much all original content - no repeated scenes. Overall, I recommend it to fans of the series. Yes, it is VERY short, but it is also cheap, and good enough for the money/time involved.
